Best Photography and Instagrammable Places in Dubrovnik

With its narrow cobbled stoned streets and historic fortifications, Dubrovnik is a must visit location in Croatia. The walled city also has some beautiful places that you can visit and photograph. The post below covers the best photography spots and the most instagrammable places in Dubrovnik.

Within the Walls

The historic walls of Dubrovnik goes around the entire perimeter of its old town. You can take pictures of any part of the wall and have some really great shots but I think the best photography spot is just before the Micenta Tower. The sea of orange roofs with the ocean peaking in between makes for a great shot.

There are a few notable places to capture if you are on the walls looking out.

This iconic view of the walls and the walled city can be taken from inside of Fort Lovrijenac.

This picture below is taken as you are climbing the steps to go inside the fort.

This view is from the edge of the fort on the far right (with the stairs to your left if you are facing the sea)

Stradun

Stradun is the main drag of old town Dubrovnik. If you want to take pictures here, arrive early in the morning before the cruisers arrive for the day or late at night, when everyone has gone back.

Mount Srd

Mount Srd is outside the walled city but can be easily reached via car or by cable car. With great aerial views of the city, it’s one of the best photography places in Dubrovnik.

If you are on Prijeko road facing Stradun, some of the stairs to your back are very instagrammable.

Random Narrow Streets

Old Town Dubrovnik is full of narrow streets with lots of instagrammable places. Walk around and explore!

Old Fort

Tiny boats bobbing in the aqua water with the walled city in the background really makes the Old Fort a great photography spot.

Banje Beach

Banje beach is located just outside the walled city and is a popular bathing spot.

But, it is also a great place to see the city from the outside.
