If storybook castles, riverside towns and rolling hills full of vineyards sound like your kind of thing, then look no further than the lush Mosel Valley. While there are many quaint, cobbled towns with fairy tales castles perched high up on hills to choose from in this area, I chose to explore the town of Cochem for a couple of days when I last visited Germany.
